The Great House, Barbados is one of our favourite holiday rental homes in Barbados. It is more than just a holiday home. It is a stunning colonial home set in mature and majestic gardens set right on the beach on Barbados's west coast.
The Great House, Barbados really is a jewel to behold. It has recently been completely renovated and various new buildings added. No expense has been spared and only the best architects and designers have been used.
With 12 double bedroom suites there are few holiday rental properties in Barbados able to rival this one. We think The Great House is one of the most luxurious estates in the Caribbean.
Run by the very able Cressida Dawson who is assisted by a first class butler and other incredibly efficient and polite staff this property runs like clockwork. The Great House, Barbados is perfect for those special parties, small weddings and other celebrations. The food is simply exquisite and there are so many lovely and diverse areas in which to dine.
WIth the right configuration The Great House can accommodate up to 30 guests.

If two of you feel romantic a table for two can be set up on the deck overlooking the sea.
Dine as the sun sets watching and listening to the waves as they ebb and flow on the golden beach. So many beautiful locations to dine and so many wonderful dishes to behold.
The Great House, Barbados has recently been refurbished and is a grand, yet remarkably cosy, coral stone West Indian plantation house. It is nestled in mature, quiet gardens amongst swaying palm trees on the beachfront in the parish of St Peter.
The accommodation of this luxury villa comprises 12 air conditioned double bedroom suites in all. There are 4 bedroom suites in the 2 storey coral-stone main house. There are also a further 2 bedrooms in each of the adjacent two "chattel" houses. The carriage house also has 4 bedroom suites. The new bathrooms en suite to each of the bedrooms are exquisite. They are spacious, beautifully designed and no expense has been spared in the fittings.
The Great House, Barbados is a favourite villa in Barbados for the rich and famous. Many of its guests return year after year to be pampered in this idyllic oasis. The extensive tropical gardens are perfectly maintained with total privacy in mind.
All the rooms are individually decorated with a typically tropical plantation house feel.

The Great House estate offers a private tennis court, state of the art gym, spa treatment and massage room and games room. There is also a conference room, media room, swimming pool and a private beach bar right by the water's edge.
There is a speed boat with boatman so guests may enjoy the Caribbean Sea and see Barbados from a different perspective. what could be better than a day on the water in the Caribbean?
Instead of charging for food and beverage items individually, The Great House will implement a daily charge of US$150 per person. This will include all meals, non alcoholic beverages and will simplify invoicing for guests. Children under the age of 7 will be complimentary.

There is an extensive private swimming pool in the manicured gardens. The gardens provide many choices for dining. There is also a beautiful gazebo in the garden which is perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea. It provides a romantic setting for candlelit al fresco dinners.
Sunset cocktails can be enjoyed at the private beach bar overlooking the sea.

A short stroll through the garden leads to the calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea and the beautiful white sandy beach. From here guests of The Great House, Barbados may use the services of The Great House motor boat. It is available with a captain who will take you out daily from 9am - 5pm to enjoy a variety of water-sports such as water skiing, wakeboarding and inflatables. All you need to do is pay for our fuel.
Sometimes guests just like to sit back and enjoy being on the water taking in the beautiful coastline of the Platinum coast. Alternatively guests like to go on the boat to other beaches where they can enjoy a relaxing picnic, swim with the turtles or lunch at a beachfront restaurant. Tthe choices are up to you !
