Shangri-La is an elegant villa in Barbados offering a mix of English country manor and plantation great house. This luxury villa is discreetly hidden behind an avenue of mahogany trees, with a gated entrance giving way to a shady area of lawn and generous parking.
There are four individually decorated bedrooms, two of which are en suite, two with a shared bathroom.
The Great Room offers a relatively formal living and dining area. There is also a more relaxed air-conditioned entertainment room with satellite TV, VCR and board games and an elegant built-in bar.
Outside on the covered veranda is another casual sitting area furnished with bamboo and wicker seating, which looks over to a central courtyard and the pool and sea vistas beyond.
Raised a few steps above the surrounding gardens, is the inviting swimming pool, set off by two coral stone pillars which act as a frame for the views of the Caribbean Sea. The gardens either side of the pool have well tended lawns and are full of tropical greenery, flora and mature trees, giving a sense of privacy and making a relaxing environment.
Shangri-La is the ideal villa in Barbados for those seeking an elegant setting or maybe interested in the Holders Season Festival of Arts or the Barbados Polo Club for which this villa is well located.
